Spenser Smith is a writer and wildlife photographer who lives in Vancouver, B.C. From writing poems on the overdose crisis to photographing northern pygmy-owls on the mountainsides of Vancouver Island, he tells stories. His work appears in Poetry Is Dead, The Malahat Review, Prairie Fire, The Puritan, Contemporary Verse 2, and Maclean’s. He holds a BA in creative writing and journalism from Vancouver Island University and is working toward an MFA in creative writing at University of British Columbia.
