I’m a writer and wildlife photographer living in Nanaimo, B.C. From writing poems on the overdose crisis to photographing northern pygmy-owls on the mountainsides of Vancouver Island, I tell stories. My work appears or is forthcoming in Maclean’s, The Malahat Review, Prairie Fire, The Puritan, and Contemporary Verse 2. I operate Birds and Bark, a wildlife photography business. I’m also a media and communications assistant at Island Crisis Care Society, a non-profit that provides housing to people experiencing homelessness, substance use issues, and mental health issues. In 2019, I completed a B.A. in creative writing and journalism at Vancouver Island University. In the fall, I’m starting an M.F.A. in creative writing at University of British Columbia.
